DM conducts anti-encroachment drive at Bari Brahmana

Bari Brahmna(Jammu): Tightening noose over encroachers, District Magistrate Samba, Rohit Khajuria, Thursday carried out an anti encroachment drive at village Birpur, near Balol Bridge, Bari Brahmana, Samba.
A team headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, C P Kotwal, Tehsildar Bari Brahmana, Qaiser Malik, SHO Arjun Singh and other officials of revenue and police departments reached the encroachment site and pressed a JCB machine to dismantle the wall being erected over the khad land bearing khasra number 1734. The khad land is situated adjoining Balol bridge on National Highway connecting Jammu-Samba. The construction over the land was immediately stopped and notice was issued to the concerned agencies under relevant laws.
The khad land was being aggressively converted and construction on boundary walls was also carried out at the behest of some land grabbers.
District administration has warned such encroachers that any attempt to convert the title of the land without intimation to Revenue Department shall be dealt sternly.
