Baramulla/June,25 : Two militants were on Thursday morning killed in a gunfight with government forces after the launch of a cordon and search operation in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district .
A police official said a joint team of Police, 22 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Hardshiva village of Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district . ” The militants started firing on the forces personnel from their hiding place and as the forces personnel retaliated the fire two militants were killed in the heavy exchange of fire”, the official said
