JKP working against militancy for stabilising peace in JK: DGP Dilbag

SRINAGAR, JUNE 23: Director General Police on Tuesday said that Jammu and Kashmir police and other partners of the security grid are working in tandem against militancy and to stabilise and strengthen peace in Jammu and Kashmir .
Accompanied by IGP Kashmir   Vijay Kumar during his visit to twin South Kashmir districts Pulwama and Shopian, the DGP took a darbar and interacted with police ranks and CRPF cadres at district Police Line Pulwama. DIG South Kashmir  Atul Kumar Goel, SSP Pulwama,  Ashish Kumar Mishra, CO 182 BN CRPF  Nadeem Ahmed, CO 183 BN CRPF,  D.S Negi, SP Shopian Amritpal Singh, ASP Pulwama,  Tanveer Ahmad and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
While interacting with the police personnel, the DGP appreciated the role of officers and other ranks for tackling the ground situation effectively even in the face of a big challenge of coronavirus. He said that despite many challenges, personnel of police and other security forces are working professionally to eliminate threats to peace from various Pakistan sponsored militant  outfits and subversive agencies.
The DGP lauded the synergic efforts of security forces and police personnel in bringing down drastically the number terrorists and their associates thereby providing relief to the people of these districts who have been victim of militancy related violence. He appreciated the efforts of police and other forces  for their professional handling of  law and order situations effectively along with flattening the graph of  violence considerably .
Referring to recent successful anti-militancu operations, the DGP appreciated prompt and coordinated action of security forces and added that we need to continue our sustained anti-militancy operations to put an end to militancy in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Jammu and Kashmir police and other government forces are working hard to bring an enduring peace to this beautiful place and people who have suffered from long years of  violence .
He said “epeated attempts of Pakistan to disturb peace in J&K further strengthens our resolve to counter its agenda of death and destruction against the people “.
While interacting with the officers, the DGP stressed the need for cohesive action to enforce constant vigil on  maintaining internal security and ensuring the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir. The DGP directed the officers to make optimum use of all available resources and ensure coordinated action on the ground for providing prompt and strong counter militancy responses on all fronts.  The DGP also announced Bada Khana for Police and CRPF personnel on the occasion. The DGP stressed upon the officers for effective domination in area based on analysis as also joint patrolling to keep the activities of suspicious elements under surveillance.
The officers of police and CRPF apprised the DGP about the security scenario, law and order, crime control, community policing and anti-militancy operations in their respective jurisdictions.    Earlier DGP attended the wreath laying ceremony of the CRPF’s  HC Kale Sunil at RTC Humhama alongside other officers and ranks of police and CRPF. He paid rich tribute to the slain soldier and conveyed his deep condolences to the bereaved family. During visit to Pulwahma , DGP other officers and ranks observed 3 minutes of silence after paying tribute to the slain CRPF man.
