Srinagar/June,11: A 62-year-old woman from Kulgam district of south Kashmir, who had tested positive for Covid-19, died on Thursday at SKIMS Soura on Thursday, taking the death toll due to the disease in Jammu and Kashmir to 52, officials said.
Hospital sources said “the woman admitted at SKIMS Soura last Sunday died Thursday morning due to acute calcular cholecystotitis with hepatic flexural growth”.
“Her sample was taken on the same day and came out positive following which the patient was shifted to infectious disease ward on Monday,” the sources said. With this death, the COVID-19 death toll has risen to 52 in Jammu and Kashmir — 47 in Valley, 5 in Jammu division.
