Kupwara: As part of Public Outreach Program (POP) carried out by District Administration Kupwara, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mohammad Ashraf Bhat Wednesday visited Border Machill Block of Kupwara district to take stock of developmental scenario.
During the visit, he inspected various ongoing works and convened a joint meeting of officers and PRI members.
It was informed that work is apace on Chontiwara-Doma l4.5 km road at a cost of rupees two crore; of which rupees one crore has been expended so far and 2.5 km road length have been macadamized besides 3 other roads are being maintained by PMGSY presently.
The ADDC also took stock of ongoing development works being carried out under BADP, MGNREGA, he stressed upon the officers to work with added zeal and ensure that all works taken in hand shall be completed within the target period.
The PRI members projected various issues related to improvement in ration supply, restoration of DG Genset, release of pending payments under MGNREGA and maintenance of Machill-Dudi road. The issues regarding betterment in healthcare facilities were also discussed in the meeting.
On the occasion, Executive Engineers I&FC, PMGSY Kupwara, REW, SDAO Sogam, BMO Kalarooch, Tehsildar Machill, CDPO Kalarooch and other concerned accompanied the ADDC.
