New Delhi/ May,28 : The army chief General Bipin Rawat on Sunday said he would be happy “if the protesters were firing weapons at the armed forces instead of throwing stones.”
Defending the use of a Kashmiri civilian as a “human shield”, the army chief,told an online news portal “When people are throwing stones and petrol bombs at us, I cannot tell my men ‘just wait and die’.”
“I would have been happy if the protesters were firing weapons at the armed forces instead of throwing stones.”
He also called for a “composite solution” to the Kashmir issue. “Kashmir needs a composite solution, everybody will have to get involved,” he said
