Srinagar/May,24: Three days after a 12-year-old boy who was injured in a house collapse at Nawa Kadal, Srinagar encounter site, an elderly man who was also injured at the same spot, succumbed on Sunday at SMHS hospital Srinagar, officials said.
They identified the deceased as Manzoor Ahmed Khan, 65, of Masheli Mohalla, Nawa Kadal, Srinagar. “Yes, he succumbed Sunday morning,” said Medical Superintendent SMHS, Dr Nazir Choudhary.
Manzoor was injured in a house collapse at the Nawa Kadal encounter site where two militants including Hizbul Mujahideen’s divisional commander Junaid Sehrai were killed.
Manzoor is the security victim of house collapse as on May 12, a 12-year-old boy who was injured at the same spot on May 19, succumbed at SMHS hospital Srinagar on May 20.
As already reported several houses were damaged during the gunfight between militants and the government forces at Nawa Kadal. The boy was identified as Basim Aijaz, of Chotta Bazar area of Karan Nagar.
