Aijaz Khan appeals top officials, engineers, other affluent classes to help poor, needy, handicapped, destitutes on Eid eve

Srinagar: President Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC JK) and CAPD Employees Association Kashmir Aijaz Ahmad Khan on Friday appealed government officers, engineers and top officials to extend financial assistance to poor and needy badly hit by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to help them celebate eid with ease at this crucial juncture.
In a statement issued here on Friday Khan said COVID-19 lockdown has hit the economy of the people of almost all the sections of the society and consequently the labour class and daily wagers deserve special financial assistance this time when they are virtually left to fend for themselves. Asking senior government officers, engineers and top official to show solidarity by strong display of philanthropy with the people of labour class and daily wagers, the top trade union leader asked them to take care of poor and needy in their respective mohallas, colonies and localities by extending to them best possible financial assistance.He said bringing smile to the gloomy face of a single child of a depressed family is the real way to celebrate eid amid COVID-19 pandemic. Reminding that the basic purpose of the islamic sermons on social welfare is the relief and rehabilitation of poor, needy, handicapped and destitutes for balancing the economy of the people, the EJCC J&K President appealed the affluent classes to distribute their wealth and money among the distressed sections of the society. He said Almighty Allah likes those helping poor and needy and doubles the earnings spent on philanthropy besides satisfying the inner conscience. Asking the affluent classes to bear in mind that as per Islamic teachings worship is preferred over service to poor, needy, handicapped and destitutes the top trade union leader appealed the affluent classes to adhere to the teachings of Allah and Prophet (SAW) on spending for poor, needy, destitutes and handicapped and exude confidence that affluent classes will leave no stone unturned in coming to the rescue of poor and needy waiting for help in a distressed situation.
