DDC Udhampur reviews facilities at quarantine centres

Udhampur : District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr. Piyush Singla Friday convened a detailed meeting of all Nodal Officers and reviewed the facilities being provided to inmates of quarantine centres in the district.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to provide sufficient number of PPE kit to the concerned magistrates for on duty officers /officials in the quarantine centers. He asked to ensure that sufficient toilet facilities are available in all the quarantine centers and if required additional toilet facilities should be created immediately. He stressed on sanitation and hygiene of the quarantine centers. CEO Municipality was asked for regular fumigation of these centers.
The DDC also took review of sanitation, food quality, drinking water, bedding, health care facilities in each quarantine centres. The DDC advised magistrates that special care should be taken of children, pregnant women and nursing women and ensure that all facilities to be provided to inmates and they should feel homely in quarantine centres. He asked for establishment of help desk at Railway Station and sample collection centre at Tikri to aware returnees about the availability of paid quarantine in the district. DDC asked health authorities to reconcile the sample reports with the quarantine management immediately and ensure all having negative reports are released for home quarantine .
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nagendra Singh Jamwal, DFO, Shavaita Jandial, Nodal Officers quarantine centres, Ranjeet Singh,Harbans Lal , Subash Dogra, CMO, Dr. K.C Dogra, DHO, Dr. Mohd Yaseen were present in the meeting.
