SHAH KHALID
O you have believed, when the adham is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu’ah (Friday) then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew. (Al Quran). Every Friday is special and a source of blessings and salvation, and Etymologically Jumat-ul-vida –a farewell to the month of Ramadan observed on the last Friday of this blissful month. Muslims believe that no prayer remain unanswered (Ijabat-i-dua) the acceptance is found in the prayers besides a golden opportunity to atone sins, by praying Allah SWT keeps us away from the torment of Hell by the blessings of Ramadan. The prayers makes it special and solemn with cleansing souls as the blissful month is emotionally going to end, as we never know how many of us will live to observe next Ramadan. So it is a day of praying, charity and spending time with loved ones, but especially with those who have suffered most. However the present uncertainty, chaos, and conflict has make this day less festive. The day is lit up with radiance of refreshed spirituality which lights up the every preached soul by giving a sense of thought, that there is a section of people in our society who are earning from “hand to mouth”, as the present state of uncertainty has put all of them in a state of distress and dilemma, as the little much savings with this section has only becoming their financial security during these odd days.
So this day provides us an opportunity to denote more than charitable donation something more like a morsel of food to feed an orphan. We are familiar that the valley is going through the turbulent times as scores of protests and clashes erupting across villages and towns which leads to loss of many lives. The prevailing gloomy situation and strife torn situation among the people by the rage of coronavirus has left people of valley into a deep mental illness. So this blissful day providing an opportunity to overcome from this miserable situation and become spirituality elevated. The day is highly spiritual with a sense of fulfillment and moral features and a divine gift by Almighty Allah SWT.
