Srinagar/May,21: A resident of Safa Kadal area of Srinagar on his return journey from Hyderabad slipped to death at Khooni Nallah.
An official said a man identified as Nazir Ahmad Rather of Nowpora, Safa Kadal slipped to death in Khooni Nallah near Ramban on Srinagar-Jammu highway late Wednesday evening. He said that Nazir was on way to his home from Hyderabad.
“On reaching near Khooni Nallah, Nazir asked the driver to stop the vehicle in order to attend nature’s call. As he stepped out of the vehicle, he slipped into Khooni Nallah and died on spot,” the official said.
A traffic police official said a police team was on spot and rescue operation was going on to retrieve his body. “The incident was reported at around 12 O’clock and we are putting in our best efforts to retrieve the body,” he said.
