Pattan/March,16: Two dozen sheep were on Sunday night killed by wild animals in Kungamdara pattan village of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports quoting witnesses said 25 sheep belonging to one Mohammad Maqbool Chopan were on Sunday night killed in an attack by wild animals.
“They were killed in the night by the wild animals which then left the scene, i didn’t hear any commotion that would have prompted me to check the livestock” said owner of sheep Mohammad Maqbool.
“On Sunday morning as usual when i went to animal shed for the purpose to feed them i saw the dead sheep their” he added.
Residents of Kungamdara pattan woke up to a startling scene after 25 sheep were killed by wild animal last night.
Scared residents are also appealing to Wildlife officials to lay a trap for the wild animal so that these incidents would not happen in the future.
Meanwhile the residents of the village appealed to the Governor to look into the matter and provide compensation to the owner as it is the great loss to him
