Bandipora /May, 20: A teacher who had gone missing after he left for his duty last week in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district was on Monday morning found dead in Wular lake.
Officials said the body of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone of Sheikhpora locality of Mantrigram village was recovered in the morning from Wular lake in Laharwalapora village, adding that “the locals of Laharwalpora informed police after spotting the in the Wular of Lake after which the body was taken to district hospital Bandipora for postmortem. He was identified by his brother and his relatives in the hospital”.
Mushtaq had gone missing on May 13 when he had left from home to attend his duty at government high secondary school Chuntimulla where he was posted as a teacher.
On May 18, family members and locals of Mantrigam village held a protest demonstration to seek his whereabouts.
