Srinagar /May, 15: A shutdown in Budgam and Magam towns of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district against the alleged rape of a three-year-old girl in Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district hit normal life on Wednesday in both the towns.
Reports said that all the business establishments and educational institutions remained close while traffic is also off the roads in both the towns.
Police and paramilitaries deployed in strength at sensitive places are maintaining vigil over the movement of the people to main peace and order in both the central Kashmir towns.
Reports said that authorities have also imposed restrictions in the two towns as a precautionary measure.
Internet services were restored after two days in late afternoon hours on Wednesday in Budgam district.
