Jammu/Feb, 12: After remaining shut for sex consecutive day the Jammu-Srinagar highway was through for one way traffic as traffic police authorities Tuesday afternoon allowed stranded light-motor vehicles (LMVs) and fuel tankers to move towards Kashmir valley after clearing landslides in Ramban-Ramsoo sector. .
Traffic police officials overseeing the movement of traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway said “Over one hundred stranded fuel tankers and light passenger vehicles were allowed after seven days from Ramban to Kashmir,adding that ‘traffic was allowed to move despite stone shooting at Maroog and Pantiyal.
The closure of the road for seven consecutive days has created a shortage of essentials in Kashmir valley.
