Kupwara : District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir Saturday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the achievements made under CAPEX budget and also discuss the status of approved 75 languishing projects in the district.
The meeting held in the Meeting Hall reviewed the physical and financial achievements made under District CAPEX Budget.
It was given out that 76% of the total allocation for the current financial year has been expended on various developmental and welfare schemes till ending October 2018.
The DDC on the occasion directed the officers to work with zeal and zest to achieve the targets during this financial year. He said the pace of works needs to be accelerated in the district so that benefits accrue to the people well on time.
In another meeting, the status of 75 languishing projects was discussed. These projects include 25 works under R&B and JKPCC, 25 works under PHE, 16 works under I&FC, 06 works under Education Sector, 02 works under Health and 01 work under Industrial Sector.
The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 102.12 Cr has been approved for completion of 75 developmental projects in the district which have been taken up under different sectors.
The meeting was attended by JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, CEO, CMO, Executive Engineers of JKPCC, PHE, I&FC, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, AD Fisheries and other concerned.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC impressed upon the officers to speed up the pace of work on these projects and ensure the completion of the languishing projects within the stipulated time frame.
He also stressed for the judicious use of funds besides the quality material on the works taken up under various sectors in the district.
