Pulwama/Nov, 10: Thousands of people on Saturday attended the funeral prayers of two militants killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Tikken village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An eye witness said that thousands of people descended on Below and Babhara – ancestral villages of the slain militants as their bullet-riddled bodies reached there.
Reports said that back to back multiple rounds of funeral prayers were held for both the slain militants, Wajid-ul- Islam and Liaqat Ahmad Wani at Babhara and Below villages respectively.
A complete shutdown is being observed in Pulwama district to mourn the killings.
Authorities have suspended the mobile Internet service in the area.
