Bhaderwah : A two day Divisional level kho-kho tournament took off Wednesday here at University Campus.
District Development Commissioner Doda, Simrandeep Singh declared the tournament open in presence of Rector G. M. Bhat, District Officer Youth Services and Sports officer Ashok Kotwal, Principal HSS Girls Annie Kotwal, Army Officers of 4RR.
The two-day event, with participation of 250 students of nine districts of Jammu province, has been organized by the District Youth Services and Sports Department in collaboration with the 4RR.
Addressing the players, the DDC highlighted the importance of the sports for the inculcation of the teamwork, analytical thinking and leadership skills among the young minds. He hailed the Rector, Officers of 4RR and DYSS for organising the mega tournament.
A colourful cultural program was also presented by the students of Govt Girls HSS Bhadarwah, Athkhar Public School Sartingal and other schools on the inaugural day.
