Jammu: Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar and Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga Thursday laid foundation stone for construction of approach road to proposed site for AIIMS here at Vijaypur.
MLA Samba Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, Deputy Commissioner Samba Sheetal Nanda, senior functionaries of R&B and a large number of locals were present at the foundation laying ceremony.
Addressing the people, the Ministers reiterated the resolve of the government to improve living condition of the people by providing best services and fast track development of hitherto neglected areas.
They said being key to socio-economic development, road connectivity to each and every habitation has been given first priority by the state government. They said government is government to equitable development to ensure that aspiration of people of every area are met without any discrimination.
Earlier the Ministers inspected the site for takeoff point of proposed Bari Brahamana- Badhori to Kaluchak-Parmandal road.
The Ministers directed the concerned engineers to conduct detailed survey to finalize the alignment of the proposed road and start eviction of encroachments, if any.
