Teacher is an important & valuable person in the society & should be regarded as most respectable person above all. Teacher is the person who changes the minds & souls of little flowers, i.e., the minor children who are otherwise ignored by the parents. On teachers day various events are arranged in many countries around the world on or around October 5. These include celebrations to honor teachers in general or those who have made a special contribution to a particular community. The day may also be marked by conferences emphasizing the importance of teachers and learning, extra training sessions for teachers, recruitment drives for the teaching profession among university students or other suitably qualified professionals and events to increase the profile of teachers and the role they play in the media.
The aim of observing Teachers day in present circumstances should be peoples responsibility towards a teacher, who has been getting a treatment of low profile person. Being called a Nation Builder, but ignored by the idle & selfish society of present day. We people have made Education a fashion rather than acquiring knowledge & development of minds to our wards.
The behaviour of the society towards its teachers is negative & non serious. Earning money in easiest & fraudulent ways has engulfed our society as a whole. We prefer money over other important aspects of life. Respect & regard to teachers has been grabbed by the intolerance & evil ambitions. Gone are the days, when students were hiding themselves if a teacher was about to cross a lane or street. Students were so obedient, that teachers were never seen standing in buses , never seen taking their luggage & standing in que’s for their turns.
Teacher is a person who helps others to acquire knowledge, competences or values
Before three decades, there was hardly any concept of overtime classrooms early in the morning or late in the evening. Teachers also were taking this profession a noble cause & duty rather than earning industry. The whole responsibility lies with the society which has ignored the future of next generation by leaving the education in shambles. Today we prefer people with negative backgrounds over the professionals of knowledge. The reason being our education system gets ill treatment, particularly our Teachers, who are working hard to take it to the heights. Our teachers are highly qualified with best achievements. Working on low scale of emoluments, they left no stone unturned to give their best. It is our responsibility to regard their services, admire & encourage them for their great roles.
