After months of unheard-of hype and gossip, Apple finally took the wraith of the I phone X at a party at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. The iPhone X was launched to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the iPhone and as a result is the most radical change in the iPhone.
But all this extravagance comes at a cost. You will have to pay a royal ransom to get to the I Phone X when it arrives in India on November 3. Smartphones are getting expensive from year to year. It’s time for a device costing over Rs 50,000 to be completely unbelievable. But now the iPhone X has destroyed all price barriers.
Let me introduce it in perspective. Two Samsung Galaxy S8 can be purchased for 1.15 thousand rupees. A fantastic 250cc bike can be purchased at Rs 1 lakh. One iPhone X can be purchased for Rs. 1,02,000 . It’s cheaper model with 64 GB memory at Rs. 89,000. But even that at first glance seems too much. However, the iPhone X is not an ordinary smartphone. From astonishing new design to future features with increased reality, Apple has embarked on a journey to ensure that the iPhone X will meet the remnants left behind by Steve Jobs and create the best smartphone on the market. Is it worth the extravagant price? Before we look at this question. Let’s take a closer look at the iPhone.
The last time Apple rebuilt the iPhone was an I Phone 6 in 2014. They made Apple fans wait for years to refresh the project – and the iPhone certainly was worth the pitiful delay. Smartphone comes with striking bezel pattern without frame with polished stainless steel frame and glass on front and back. Apple claims it is the most durable glass used on the phone. Apple marketing says iPhone X is “the whole screen”. And this is mostly true. This Smartphone has a 5.5-inch, modern OLED True Tone display which occupies almost the entire front console of the device. Why almost? Because, like Andy Rubin’s Antique PH-1, there is a “cutout” on the top that houses sensors and a front camera. With the iPhone X, I’ve dreamed of the iPhone, which is just a glass, is much closer to reality. Apple calls it the “Super Retina” display. The True Tone display changes the colour temperature and hue according to the environment to reduce eye strain. This technology was first noticed in the 9.7-inch iPad Pro introduced in March 2017. The display supports HDR 10, Dolby Vision and has a contrast ratio of one in a million. Pretty solid if you ask me.
Besides designing and displaying, there are many cool equipment and software tricks on offer. The touchscreen, Apple’s iconic fingerprint sensor, first seen on the iPhone 5 in 2013, said goodbye and replaced its face identifier. Face recognition on iPhone X is done through what Apple calls the TrueDepth camera system. Although many false positives related to Face ID, the final result according to Apple is that it is quite reliable. The company claims that the Face ID will work, even if you wear sunglasses, beards grow to get another hairstyle. In fact, it even works at night because of the fancy Flood Illuminator on board.
The biggest advantage of Apple is their ease of use and their seaside ecosystem. As the popular saying goes, “If you do not have an I Phone, well, you do not have an I Phone.” It really rings a lot (and I mean a lot) people.
With the iPhone X, Apple also joined the wireless charging bandwagon. The smartphone supports industry-standard “Qi” wireless charging and, according to Apple, will be compatible with a wide range of charging cushions from car manufacturers and retailers. Also worth mentioning are the cameras on the iPhone X. There are two 12-megapixel cameras with f / 1.8 and f / 2.4 holes on the back. What makes it exciting is that both sensors are optically stabilized, which means that the images should be sharp and clear in most lighting conditions. In addition to the Portrait mode, which allows you to take deep-field pictures, Apple has introduced a new feature called Portrait Lighting that changes the lighting effect of photos. Who needs Snapshat filters?
The I Phone X is also the most powerful iPhone, but with the Bionic A11 chipset, it has a better battery life than the iPhone 7 and is water and dust resistant. I Phone X also has Augmented Reality features. The Smartphone is equipped with an improved gyroscope and accelerometer, which allows for better tracking of AR traffic. Aion Bionic, a new Internet service provider and a new Apple GPU, are working together to increase the AR capabilities for the phone. Overall, the I Phone X is a pretty amazing package and undoubtedly the best I Phone so far. But you already knew that, did not you? Is it worth one round of rupees? Now this is an important question. The answer is somewhat complicated. If you think about it pragmatically, I Phone X does not seem really worth the exorbitant cost. Although features such as wireless charging, priceless design, facial recognition and OLED display are new to the I Phone, they’ve been around for years in smart phones on Android. So the I Phone X is not revolutionary per se. The Galaxy 8 is supplied with optically stabilized lenses, a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge screen, stunning S-Tricks, wireless charging, iris scan, facial recognition and fingerprint scanner for Rs. 67000. This is over Rs. 20,000 cheaper than the I Phone X. Note 8 is a very nice phone just right. But if you’re an I Phone fan and you’re investing in an I Phone ecosystem, your Android smart phone will never work, right? How does an Android phone work with your I Pad and Mac? The biggest advantage of Apple is their ease of use and their seaside ecosystem. As the popular saying goes, “If you do not have an I Phone, well, you do not have an I Phone.” It really rings a lot (and I mean a lot) people.
Many fervent Apple loyalists have been waiting for the “uncompromising” I Phone model for some time, which has long been equipped with state-of-the-art displays, powerful interiors and improved cameras. And for them the price of the phone does not matter. The fact that the I Phone X looks genuinely stunning also helps with matters.
